Kenneth Lee "Bud" Felger, 88, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and service to his family and community.
He was born on June 21, 1938, in Churubusco to the late Kenneth F. and LaVon (Allman) Felger. He spent his formative years in Allen County and graduated from Huntertown High School.
Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he returned home and dedicated his life to farming. He proudly continued his family's farming tradition, eventually purchasing the farm adjacent to the property where he was born. A lifelong farmer, Kenneth took great pride in caring for the land and carrying on a way of life that had been a part of his family for generations.
Kenneth was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Township, where he was active in his church and community. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid collector, with a special fondness for farm and train models.
On September 7, 1968, Kenneth married the love of his life, Gladys Felger. Together, they shared nearly 58 years of marriage and raised their four children: Laura (Arthur) Miller, Eric Felger, Frederick (Christine) Felger, and Douglas (Tonia) Felger.
Kenneth is also survived by his sister, Linda Gaff; brothers, Allan Felger, Ronald (Rhonda) Felger, and Don (Fran) Felger; seven grandchildren, Joshua Hoover, Sadie Allread, Kari Baumert, Kylie Felger, James Felger, Makenna Felger, and Colton Felger; and three great-grandchildren, Axel Allread, Haysen Heinzman, and Iris Hoover.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Robinson.
A Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Township, with calling one hour prior to the service.
Kenneth's family will welcome friends and loved ones at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake Township on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township.
