Kerry Rapp

Kerry Lynn Rapp, 71, of Churubusco, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his home. He was born on December 15, 1952, in Fort Wayne, to the late Herbert George and Ruby Maxine (Musselman) Rapp. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1971. Kerry led a commendable life and left an indelible mark in the hearts of those who knew him. He had a passion for automobiles that led him to a fulfilling career as a mechanic at Auto Electric in Churubusco. He loved the Chicago Cubs and was very knowledgeable on their stats. He followed Purdue sports and Churubusco Athletics. He enjoyed being outdoors and you would often find him on his daily walk around town. Kerry is survived by his sister, Karen (Bob) Lahr: his niece, Amy (John) Lahr-Mickle; his nephew, Jeremy (Michelle) Lahr; great-nieces and nephew, Madison, Alexandra, Mitchell, and Abigail. The family invites you to join them in remembering Kerry's life. A public calling will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The funeral service will follow at noon. Kerry will be laid to rest at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorials may be directed to Whitley County Humane Shelter. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
