Larry Burke

Larry S. Burke, 77, of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Murray, KY to the late Leonard and Beulah (Deering) Burke. He graduated from Clawson High School in 1963. After high school, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force. Larry was married to Jeanette L Hodge on December 23, 1966, in Hazel Park, MI. He was a Facilities Assigner with GTE for over 40 years, retiring in 2009. He and Jeanette attended Northridge Baptist Church. Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette L. Burke; his son, Jacob (Shelia) Burke; his daughter, Sarah (Chris) McCown; three grandchildren, Gwyneth, Daphne DiGangi and Mitch McCown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Burke Sr. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, with calling two hours prior to service.
