Larry Konger, 57, a resident of Fort Wayne and formerly of Churubusco, e passed away at 6:54 p. m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at his home. Mr. Konger was born on December 24, 1955 in Garrett, a son of James A. and Barbara (Raypole) Konger. He spent his formative years in Churubusco. After serving in the United States Marine Corp he moved from Churubusco to Fort Wayne. The surviving relatives include a daughter, Amber (Steve) Yates of Lewisville, TX; six brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Konger of Fort Wayne, Randy Konger of Ossian, Ted (Kelly) Konger of Leo, James (Liz) Konger Jr. of Florida, Gary Konger of South Whitley, and Richard Konger of Fort Wayne; five sisters, Diana Konger of Fort Wayne, Sandy (Jeff) McCard of Fort Wayne, Linda (Al) Hernandez of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Vicki (Tom) Frisby of Fort Wayne, Karen (Tom) Gaff of Columbia City; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents James A.and Barbara (Raypole) Konger; and two brothers Joseph M. and William A. Konger. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p. m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013,e at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Rev.e Rick Van Horn, pastor of Christ Community Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral homee from 11:00 a. m. Tuesday until the time of the service Tuesday evening. Burial will be in the Ege Catholic Cemetery in Noble County at a later date.
