Leonard Gross

Leonard L Gross, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born on April 24, 1933 in Lake Township, Allen County, the only son of Jasper and Laura (Longsworth) Gross. He spent his formative years in the Arcola area. Leonard served in the United States Army and was involved in the building of the Panama Canal. He was an over the road driver for G.E. before retiring from Consolidated Freight. Leonard is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Felger and Marjorie Brumbaugh; a close friend Darlene Stahlhut; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances Eby. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Memorial services will begin at 1:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
