Linda Rorick

Linda Lou Rorick, 77, of New Haven, passed away on March 13, 2025, at Parkview Hospital. Linda was born on December 14, 1947, in Connersville, to the late Linda and Raymond Smith Sr. She graduated from New Haven High School in 1968 and was then married to the love of her life, Leonard Rorick, for 49 years. Together they had two children that she was quite proud of. She was known by many for her warm presence and dedication to her family. Linda enjoyed puzzles and was an avid fan of the show Young and the Restless. Her love for her cats brought her great joy throughout her life. She had also been a member of the New Haven Lion's Club. Linda is survived by her children, Sierra Smith and James Rorick, her brother, Raymond "Jake" Smith, Jr. and her sister, Naomi Sue (Daniel) Roth. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Bowers, and her brother, John Smith. Linda's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, 16830 Lima Road, Huntertown, at 1:00 p.m., with public beginning11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the Bowers Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the family. Linda's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her.
