Lois Johnston

Lois Naomi Johnston, 86, of Columbia City, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on May 28, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born on March 29, 1931 in Garrett, a daughter Noah and Leora (McCarty) Longenecker. She spent her formative years in Rural Allen County and graduated from Huntertown High School Lois was married on October 13, 1951 in Columbia City to Virgil D. Johnston. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2005. Lois is survived by four children, Kathy (Brent) Dewitt, Linda (John) Pruss, Kevin (Lou Ann) Johnston, and Kelly (Thomas) Landis; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents and husband. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on June 2, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, or one hour prior to the service. Services will begin at 10:00 AM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on June 3, 2017. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery.
