Lou Ann Leazier, 68, of Churubusco, passed away on June 12, 2024, at Parkview Hospital.
She was born on April 3, 1956, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Carl and Betty (Travis) Stott. Lou Ann married Tim Leazier on May 14, 1994, at the Ideal Fish and Game Club, in Churubusco, and together they built a life full of love, support, and shared passions. Lou Ann retired from C & A Tool after 10 years, where she worked from Deburring to Aero Space. Her work was a testament to her dedication and strength, traits that carried over into every aspect of her life.
Lou Ann was a woman of numerous hobbies and interests. She found joy in trap shooting, camping, and collecting bird houses and turtles figures. The Idea Fish and Game Club and the ATA Trap Shooting Association were blessed to have her as a member. She was a committed fan of the Detroit Lions and loved to support her family in all their endeavors. Lou Ann had a knack for making friends wherever she went, especially during her camping trips to trap shooting competitions.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Leazier; daughter, Amber (Jeff) Upton; sisters, Linda (Rod) Bolt, Carol (Dave) Jordan, Barbara (Brian) Romberg, and Jo (Dan) Diltz; brother, Roger (Kathy Bricker) Stott; grandchildren, Alta and Parker Upton; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior to the service.
The family will also receive family and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Riley Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
