Lucille Gaff

Lucille M. Gaff, 72, of Warsaw, passed away on June 16, 2019, at her residence in Warsaw, IN. Born in Wolf Lake on January 1, 1947, to the late Robert and Naomi (Keister) Gaff. She spent her formative years in Merriam, graduating from Wolf Lake High School in 1965. She received a bachelor's degree from Goshen College in 1969, then went on to get her master's degree in genealogy from IPFW in 1972. She was an elementary teacher at Menton Elementary School for 30 years, retiring in 2010. Mrs. Gaff was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Lucille is survived by six brothers, Neal (Kathy) Gaff of FL, Monte (Nancy) Gaff of Churubusco, Lyle (Terri) Gaff of Goshen, Martin (Sally) Gaff of Valparaiso, Jack (Debbie) Gaff of LaGrange and Douglas (Becky) Gaff of Rolling Prairie; one sister, Julie Gaff of Warsaw; brother-in-law, Victor Hiatt of LaGrange; eleven nieces; eleven nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one sister, Dolores Hiatt; sister-in-law, Bonnie Gaff and nephew, Noel Gaff. Calling will take place 4:00 p.m., to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Churubusco, IN, 46723, with calling also one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019, at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Pulley officiating. Burial will take place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam, IN.
