Mabel Fisher

Mabel Fisher, 89, a former resident of Churubusco and more recently of Etna Green, passed away at 1:40 a. m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at her home.e She had been in failing health for the past several months. Mabel was born on January 3, 1923 in Chicago, a daughter of John and Rose (Herman) Fisher.e She had been employed at Passages, Inc. in Columbia City, and while living in Churubusco attended the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene.e She had moved from Churubusco to Etna Green in 1994. Surviving is her sister Catherine Fisher of Fort Wayne; and a host of friends from ResCare, with whom she resided for many years.e In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Edwin Fisher on January 4, 1998. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Paul D. White, pastor of Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday after 10 a. m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery Annex, Columbia City. ********************************************
