Margaret Boyer

Margaret L Boyer, 94, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett. She was born on May 19, 1931, in Kosciusko County to the late Roy and Madelyn (Thompson) Sheets. She spent her formative years in Whitley County and graduated from Churubusco High School. Margaret married her beloved husband, Robert Boyer, on July 3, 1949, and they enjoyed 74 blissful years together until his passing on March 2, 2024. Margaret dedicated 7 years of her life to serving others as a secretary at Whitley County Memorial Hospital. She also served in the same capacity at Midwestern United Life Company for nine years. She was a cherished member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority, where she formed countless lifelong friendships and created numerous unforgettable memories. Margaret's passions extended beyond her professional life and into her hobbies. She found joy in sewing, cooking, and especially in ballroom dancing. Her zest for life was infectious, and she lit up any room she graced with her presence. Margaret is survived by her two nieces, Melinda (Leonard) Kelley and Cathy (Richard) Cramer. A public calling is scheduled for Monday, October 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Sheets and Childs has been entrusted with these arrangements.
