Margaret Dafforn

Margaret J. Dafforn, 96, a resident of Fort Wayne, passed away at 5:35 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Fort Wayne. She had been in declining health for a little over a month. Margaret was born in Fort Wayne on May 24, 1920, a daughter of William Franklin and Ollie J. (Frazier) Dafforn. She graduated from North Side High School, and was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne. She retired from the financial offices of International Harvester in Fort Wayne after 30 years. The surviving relatives include six nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Glenn R. Dafforn, William F. "Bill" Dafforn, and Wayne Dafforn; and by two sisters Frances Williams and Maxine Dafforn. At the request of the family there will be a simple private graveside service at the family plot at Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
