Marie Beucler

Marie T. Beucler, 89, of Columbia City, passed away at 3:35 p.m., on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne, on November 4, 1929, to the late, James and Agnes (Klug) Smith. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Central Catholic High School. Marie married Richard Beucler on January 14, 1950, in Fort Wayne. The couple lived in Fort Wayne until 1970, when they relocated to Little Crooked Lake. Richard preceded her in death on September 6, 1994. She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Marie is survived by her daughter, Diana (Ed) Muehlfeld; two sons, Dennis (LuAnn) Beucler and Timothy (Laura) Beucler; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded by four brothers, Donald, James, Walter and Richard Smith. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., calling one hour prior to the service at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. Family will also receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with Holy Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Burial taking place at Ege Catholic Cemetery, Ege.
