Marilyn Dressler

October 16, 1943 — June 28, 2024

Marilyn Jean Dressler, 80, moved peacefully to her heavenly home on June 28, 2024. She was born to Edythe and Ward Streby in Winona Lake. She grew up on a farm in Noble County and attended Central Noble School. She received her degree in Early Childhood Development and taught at Churubusco United Methodist Nursery School for many years. Marilyn attended Clown Academy where she was trained to be a clown. She named herself "Sweet Pea" which fit her perfectly because of her sweet and caring soul. Her baking, crafts, and floral arrangements showed Marilyn's creativity. She made holidays and birthdays very special. She would be busy making goodies for her loved ones at Christmas. Marilyn made beautiful handcrafts and vases of flower arrangements to sell or give as gifts. Marilyn will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Her priority in life was her family. Next to her Savior, she loved her family more than anything. Marilyn was a member of the United Methodist Church in Churubusco, where her family once attended. Though, she attended other churches, this church remained dear to her heart. Marilyn is survived by her children, Laurie (Mark) Hyndman, Debra (Paul) Nieto, and Kurt McIntyre; her brothers, Richards Streby, Ronald Streby, and James Streby; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Streby. At this time there will be no public services. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell. Sheets & Childs has been entrusted with these arrangements.
