Marna Widmer

Marna J. (Sage) Widmer, 63, of Leo, passed away at 7:25 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marna was born on November 1, 1951 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Russell and Fern (Rhodes) Sage. She spent her formative years in Huntertown, and graduated from Carroll High School in 1970. She devoted her life to family and friends everyday of her life. Marna was a very kind and generous person always putting everyone else ahead of herself. She is survived by her companion of 20 years, "Mr. B," Steven Byanski of Leo; her son Steve Widmer of Churubusco; a sister, Diane Nagel of Auburn; her granddaughter Shelby Widmer of Churubusco; her numerous friends and relatives that were near and dear. She will be in our prayers always. She was preceded by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Riverview Cemetery, with Pastor Larry Smith, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Allen County.
