Marolyn Jean Felger, 68, of rural Churubusco in Allen County, passed away at 6:40 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Lutheran Life Villages at Pine Valley in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Felger was born on December 1, 1944 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of Rodney Wayne and Harriett Josephine (Evans) Griffis. She spent her formative years in Eel River Township, attended Huntertown High School, and graduated from Warren High School in 1963. On July 18, 1964 she was married in Lake Township to Allan W. Felger, and moved to rural Churubusco where she had lived since 1965. She was employed for several years at Churubusco State Bank as the secretary to the president. She retired in 2002 from Farmers and Merchants Bank, Churubusco. Mrs. Felger was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Lake Twp., its Women's Society, and the Industrious Dozen Home Ec. Club. The surviving relatives include her husband of 49 years Allan W. Felger; her mother Harriett Griffis; three sons - Keith (Joan) Felger, Dennis (Chris) Felger, Lyle (Janice) Felger all of Churubusco; three brothers - Larry (Pat) Griffis of Cookeville, TN, Richard (Ellen) Griffis of Laotto, and Calvin (Tammy) Griffis of Edwardsburg, MI; a sister - Carolyn (Alan) Hadley of Huntertown; five granddaughters - Kaitlyn (Brian) Busse, Megan Felger, Ashley Felger, Nicole Felger, and Amanda Felger; a grandson - Derek Felger. She was preceded in death by her father RodneyWayne Griffis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church-Lake Township, with Pastor Ralph Easterhaus, officiating. The family will receive friends at the St. John's Lutheran Church-Lake Township from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. For those who wish, memorials may be directed to St John's Lutheran Church Building Fund or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. ***************************
