Marsaleete Boggs

Marsaleete Boggs, 92, of Quincy, MI, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Coldwater, MI. She was born in Churubusco on August 28, 1931, to the late C. Allen and Crystal (Deutsch) Shively. She spent her formative year in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1949. Marsaleete married Harold Boggs on January 14, 1950, in Churubusco. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2005. She was a devoted homemaker who nurtured her family and served her community. She had been a past member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and helped with the food pantry. Marsaleete's legacy of love and service will be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew her. Marsaleete is survived by her sons, Jeffery (Mi Suk) Boggs and Steve Boggs; her brother, Michael Shively; a sister, Pat Pressler; a brother-in-law, Donald Waltenburg; and several grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Waltenburg. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
