Martha Kuehner

Martha L. Kuehner, 75, of Columbia City, passed away on September 6, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Fort Wayne, on September 18, 1945, to the late Charles C. and Wilma D. (McKinzie) Scott. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne and graduated from Southside High School, in 1963. Martha was married to Lloyd Barker, Sr. on October 16, 1964, he preceded in death on May 17,1968. Later she was married to David A. Kuehner, on June 22, 1974, in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death September of 2013. She retired from Laketronics in Cromwell. Martha attended Plymouth Congregational Church in Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #157. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping and loved collecting 4 leaf clovers. Martha is survived by her five daughters, Billie (Larry) Desormeaux, Tonya (Mike) Warner, Tammy (Todd) Kinsey, Shannon (Kevin) Benson and Kim (Paul) Shinn; her three sons, Lloyd Barker Jr., David (Pam) Kuehner and Keith (Diane) Kuehner; a brother, Dale Scott; two sisters, Elizabeth Adkins and Donna (Genie) Golembiewski; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, William and Taylor Scott. The family will receive guests at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, 206 N. Main Street Churubusco, on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Memorials to Whitley County Alzheimer's Association.
