Marvin Rex Keesling, 85, of Churubusco, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Miller's Merry Manor Oak Point.
Marvin was born on September 24, 1939, to the late Walter and Edna (Bowman) Keesling.
He was married to Carolyn Burton on August 21, 1959. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2021.
He worked for Nicholson File Foundry for 20 years, ABC Rail in Anderson for 20 years, and retired from Grede Foundry in 2004.
He loved collecting coins and camping. As a foster parent, he was significantly involved with his family. He served as an Assistant Boy Scout Troop Leader and 4-H dad. Marvin helped his girls out with showing rabbits and horses. He loved to garden, and it was known that "He would grow it, Mom would can it."
Marvin is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Stan) Dowell and Debbie Mark; two sons, Randy (Cheryl) Keesling and James Adams; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; two brothers, Ralph and William Keesling; two sisters, Marvida Essex and Floetta Keesling; and a son-in-law, Richard Mark.
