Marvin Kinney

Marvin S. Kinney, 69, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:37 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mr. Kinney was born on January 13, 1945 in Lewiston, Maine, a son of Marvin S. and Alice (Bouthot) Kinney. He spent his formative years in Fort Wayne, and graduated from Central Catholic. He was employed at H.O. Fairchilds & Sons Construction, and retired on January 13, 2011 Mr. Kinney was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and sports fan. The surviving relatives include wife of 37 years Andrea J. Kinney of Columbia City; two sons, Greg McKinney of Fort Wayne and Bradley (Betty) McKinney of Auburn; two daughters, Emily (Nicole Chevillot) McKinney of Warsaw and Sarah (David Fox) Mckinney of Huntertown; brother, David (Vicky) Kinney of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Sharon (Ed) Brock, Marcia (Mark) Peterson both of Fort Wayne, and Denise (Rick) Berry of Naples, FL; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin S.and Alice (Bouthot) Kinney Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Father Danney Pinto, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date.
