Mary Louise "Suzy" Bianski, 92, of Laotto, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on November 22, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 23, 1925 in Allen County, Indiana. She was the only daughter of Arthur and Irma (Drewett) Happel. She spent her formative years in Arcola and she graduated from Arcola High School where she was also a high school Cheerleader.
Suzy met the love of her life in the Pat's Cafe in Churubusco. she was married to Ralph F. Bianski in Ege on June 26, 1948. The coupled settled in Ege in 1950. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.
Suzy and Ralph ran the Bianski Grocery Store and Gas Station in Ege for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ege. She was very active in the church's Rosary Society.
She was Ege's mom to many children. She loved family and cherished everyone. She was Ege's only celebrity as she was on Hoosier Million and T.V. She loved walking in her woods, mushroom hunting and traveling. She loved to take her family on vacation including California and most recently two trips to Las Vegas with all her kids.
Suzy is survived by six children, Philip Bianski of LaOtto, Nick (Yvonne) Bianski of Churubusco, Tina (Dave) Macy of LaOtto, Mariann Peters of Fort Wayne, Jody (Stan) Ward, Sara (Garry) Polakovic both of LaOtto; a brothers, Donald Happel; 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son John Bianski; a granddaughter Jeni Bianski; a grandson, Josep Bianski; and two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Happel and Charles "Johnny" Happel.
Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Holy Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Calling one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home
Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Ege on Tuseday, November 28, 2017.
Burial will follow at Ege Catholic Cemetery.
