Mary Edwards

Mary Lois Edwards, 83, a life long resident of Noble County, passed away on December 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., at North Ridge Village Nursing Home. She was born on February 12, 1933 in Noble County, to Ebony and Ada (Haney) Bair. On September 17, 1960 she was married in Massachusetts to Edward Edwards. Mary spent her formative years in Green Township and graduated from Churubusco High School. She was a member of Merriam Christian Chapel Church. Mary worked as an assistant to Dr. Roth and Dr. Lucky at the Lucky Hospital in Wolf Lake. She also work as a lunch lady in the Wolf Lake Elementary School cafeteria. She is survived by her son ,Craig Edwards of Albion; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded by three brothers, Ralph, Paul, and Lynn Bair; two sisters, Nora Jane Bair and Pauline Delanoy. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Merriam Christian Chapel Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. tp 5:00 p.m. at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco or one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam. Memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
