Mary Jackson

Mary Elizabeth Jackson, 87, formerly of Whitley County, passed away on March 22, 2021, at her home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, on January 20, 1934, to the late Chester and Martha (Bender) Peck. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, graduating from Northside High School. Mary was married to Noel Jackson in Waynedale, on January 2, 1951. The couple moved to Columbia City in 1972. In 2002, they settled in Churubusco. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2009. She was employed at Franklin Market in Fort Wayne and then worked as a nurse's aid at Alfran Nursing Home in Columbia City. Mary is survived by seven children, Liz Rollins, Anna (John) Rizzo, Donald (Erlinda) Jackson, Norman Jackson, Larry (Cynthia) Jackson, Jerry (Paula) Jackson and Rosemary Jackson; several grandchildren, great-grandhildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Kevin Jackson; three brother, Charles, Chester and David Peck; a sister, Wilma Barr.
