Mary MilnerTarr, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 63. She was born on November 22, 1960, to Jerry F. Milner, Sr. and Frances O. Milner in Dallas, Texas. Mary was the middle child of five siblings, including Susie Milner, Jerry Milner, Linda Milner and Jim Milner. Sadly, Susie Milner passed away before her.
On April 12, 2002, Mary exchanged vows with her loving husband, Claude Keith Tarr. Together they shared a beautiful journey of 13 years until Keith's passing. Mary pursued higher education at IPFW, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Art.
Mary was blessed with seven children, including Christopher Badenhop, Jon Milner, Racheal Turbyfill, Steven Helton, Walker Milner-Tarr, and two others. Mary's parenting style was marked by patience, empathy, support, and encouragement as she guided her children through life's challenges.
Mary cherished her role as a grandmother and found immense joy in showering love upon her eight grandchildren: Fern, Laura, Sylvia, Maddox, Amelia, Hendrix, Cora, and Ledger. Her grandchildren saw her as a supportive figure who served as a good role model filled with positivity and encouragement.
Compassionate, empathetic, forgiving, and generous – these were just a few of the remarkable qualities that defined Mary. Her caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her. As we bid farewell to our dear Mary MilnerTarr, let us remember the impact she had on our lives through her unwavering love and kindness.
We will honor her memory with a burial ceremony at Riverview Cemetery, on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. where family and friends will gather to pay their final respects.
Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
