Mary Richard

Mary Catherine (Jones) Richard departed this life at Parkview Hospital on June 16th, 2025 at the age of 88. Mary was the third of five children born to the late Joseph Clifton Jones and Louella Ruby Little. She married Donald Joe Richard, who predeceased her on March 15, 2018. Five children were born to Mary and Don, Steven (Lynn), Michael (Robin), Linda Riley, Donald Jr. (Diana), Heidi (Jeremy) McGlothlin. Mary is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law A D Madison and sister-in-law Mary Jones. Mary was predeceased by her parents, four siblings, Leon Jones, Bill Jones, and twin sisters Anita Coe and Juanita Madison and two special nephews Neil Jones and Gregory Coe. Mary was extremely active to the end. She enjoyed working outside caring for her flowers and lawn when the weather was warm. On cold days she assembled jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed playing games and cards, especially poker. As per Mary's wishes, and if you knew her you would understand, there will be no funeral service. The family is planning a gathering for family, friends and neighbors. Mary's children would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful nurses, doctors and hospice specialists at Parkview Hospital for the great care and comfort they provided to both our parents at the ends of their lives. We also want to thank the firefighters at station 8 and EMS techs who heroically responded to help Mary during her time of need.
