Matthew Meyer

Matthew J. Meyer, 49, of LaOtto, passed away at home on May 8, 2025. He was born in Fort Wayne on January 28, 1976, to Harvey and Jacque (Blackburn) Meyer. He spent his formative years in Huntertown and graduated from Carroll High School in 1996. He worked at Sweetwater as a picker in the warehouse for a year. In addition to his time at Sweetwater he was a meat cutter for many years. His hobbies included cooking and collecting military guns. He loved rabbits and Looney Tunes Cartoons, and the Tasmanian Devil was his favorite. Matthew is survived by his parents; a sister, Nichole (Doug) Noll; nieces, Emma and Ella; his Godchild, Angel Munson; his soul mate, Susie Stoner; and his rabbit fur babies, Missy and Sam. The family will receive family and friends at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, 16830 Lima Road, Huntertown, on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will occur on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home in Huntertown, with calling beginning at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Riley Children's Hospital or Noble County Humane Society.
