Michael A. Cramer, 69, of rural Huntertown, passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Cramer was born on April 3, 1947 in Fort Wayne, a son of Wilbur L. and Catherine (Lynch) Cramer. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1965.
After high school he serviced in the United States Navy as a submariner.
On April 30, 1966 he was married to Marilyn Benson, after his Navy service the couple lived in Fort Wayne for a period before moving to their current home in rural Huntertown.
He was employed at Structural Steel and the Dekko Group.
The surviving relatives include his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Cramer of Huntertown; his daughter, Melissa (Carl) Voltz of Garrett; his son, Michael Cramer of Huntertown; two Sisters, Lisa K. Miller of Fort Wayne and Monica (Thomas) Lang of Laotto; five grandchildren, Justin, Kelly, Molly, Ashlen, Katie; a great-grandson, Oliver; and his Mother - in - Law, Virginia (Larry) Jackson, of Fort Wayne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Patrick T. and Dennis L. Cramer.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Father Danney Pinto, the celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, or at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Ege Catholic Cemetery, Noble County.
