Michelle Bowman

Michelle Bowman, 51, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Fort Wayne. Born on July 15, 1972, in Van Wert, Ohio, Michelle was an adventurous and spirited soul, who lived a vibrant life filled with joy, love, and an infectious charisma that touched everyone she met. Her lively spirit was a beacon of light that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her. Michelle was a loving mother to her two children, Tony and Justice Ries as well as her two stepchildren, Danielle Wray and Jayden Bowman. She was always encouraging them to live life to the fullest. Her care extended beyond her family, as she dedicated her professional life to serving others as a Medical Assistant for Lutheran Medical Group. Michelle's love for adventure was evident in her favorite pastime of riding motorcycles. She was a proud member of the Wheels N Wind motorcycle club, where her charismatic personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Michelle truly embraced this sentiment, always seeking new experiences and spreading joy wherever she went. In addition to her children, Michelle is survived by her mother, Sara (Skeet) Kimmel; father, Leo (Donna) Heimann; grandchildren, Marlee, Arista, Ovahnna, Onyx, Jasper, and Amethyst; her siblings, Shawn Heimann, Issac Geels, John Murray, Megan Engelberth, Dustin McEvoy, Josh Kimmel, Roger Murray, and Angela Kohlreiser; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mary Elizabeth Green, and Eugene and Rita Heimann; her uncle, George Harley Green Jr.; her aunt, Linda Andrews. The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the Lifehouse Church, Huntertown Campus, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by a service. Memorials may be directed to Lifehouse Forest Park Free Medical Clinic or A.B.A.T.E. of Indiana. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
