Mildred Pauline Harreld, 95, a former resident of Ege and more recently ofe Snellville, Georgia, passed away at 8:24 a. m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Golden Living-Medical Arts in Lawrenceville, Georgia following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Harreld was born on June 3, 1915 in Marion, a daughter of Paul and Mildred (Smith) Dooley.e She spent her formative years on the family farm north of Marion, and graduated from Marion High School. As a young woman she was married to Albert M. Harreld, and moved to Ege in 1950 from Fort Wayne.e For the past nine years she had lived in Snellville, Georgia to be near her daughter there. She had been employed at Dana Corporation in Churubusco for several years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Harreld preceded her in death on July 18, 1968. The surviving relatives include her daughterse Alberta (Duane L.) Sams of Howe, and Arlene Owens of Snellville, Ga; two brothers Merrill Dean (Connie) Dooley of Indianapolis and Melvin "Mick" (Doris) Dooley of Warren; six grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Dooley; and by two sisters Wilodean McKee and Anne Lorene Purvis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p. m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Denise Heller, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, officiating. The family will receive friends at the mortuary two hours prior to the service Saturday afternoon.
