Mildred Krider

Mildred Grace Krider, 99, of Churubusco, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Miller's at Oak Point Nursing Home in Columbia City. She was born on December 23, 1918 in Thorncreek Township, Whitley Co. to the late Everett and Lois (Shively) Chapman. She spent her formative years in Huntertown and graduated from Huntertown High School in 1936. She married Joe W. Krider on June 6, 1937 in Eel River Township, he preceded her in death December 3, 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Community Church, Churubusco. Survivors include three sons, David R. of Fort Wayne; Stanley E. (Gaurdis) of Cresco, IA and Rev. Eldon L. (Margo) Krider of Milo, MI; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; a sister, Joy Slabaugh of Canton, OH. Preceded in death by a son William W. Krider and a daughter, Sheryl Krider; two grandsons, Kevin and Neil; a brother, Harry L. Chapman. Visitation will be 11:00am Thursday January 25, 2018 till service time at 1:00pm at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
