Nancy Addis

Nancy J. Addis, 78, of Churubusco, passed away on August 1, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Allen County, Indiana on September 1, 1938, she was a daughter of Harold and Dorothy (Bell) Walters. She spent her formative years in Northern Allen County and graduated from Carroll High School. Nancy was married on October 6, 1959 to John Addis, Jr. in Churubusco. In her youth, she had the opportunity to play for the Fort Wayne Daisy's Baseball team. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Sharon and Wanda Addis both of Churubusco; her son, Jacob Addis of Churubusco; a sister, Lucille Walters of Sun City, Fl.; a brother, Dave Walters of Valley View, Tx; five grandchildren, Chris (Jessica Hawn) Barns, Nick Davis, Derek Kuehner, Heathern Rollins and Taylor Davis; three great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Addis, Jr. Visiting hours will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
