Nancy Crowe

Nancy Mae "Bunny" Crowe, 84 1/2, of Decatur, passed away on June 19, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1940, in Churubusco to the late James Arthur and Ruth (Decker) Crowe. Nancy spent most of her life in her native Indiana. Her free spirit led her to reside in various places, starting in Churubusco, then to Sandusky, Ohio, and finally to her cherished mountains in Tennessee. With her brother Paul, she was able to see the world, including Egypt, Jamaica, and Sri Lanka. While on these adventures, she was able to ride a camel and an elephant. She had a particular fondness for collecting stones and incorporating natural elements into her decorations. She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Gene) Harkless and Cindy Burd; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Arthur and Ruth Crowe, and her brothers, James Crowe and Paul Crowe. The Family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date to remember Nancy. Her burial will take place in the Eel River Cemetery with her infant babies. If you would like to leave a memorial, please do so to an organization of your choice.
