Nancy Ford

Nancy E. Ford, 91, of Fort Wayne, a devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at Parkview Hospital Randallia. She was born on September 18, 1932, in Fort Wayne, to the late Robert and Virginia (Kinerk) Meshberger. She spent her formative years in Fort Wayne. Nancy graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1950 and furthered her education at International Business College in 1951. Nancy married the love of her life, John R. Ford in Fort Wayne, on October 24, 1954, and they spent 44 joyous years together. John passed away on November 8, 1998. She was a devoted homemaker and an active member of her community. She had also worked at Old Fort Supply's in the office and later worked part-time at the Churubusco Truth. Nancy's spirit of service was evident through her volunteer work at Whitley Memorial Hospital. Nancy is survived by her children, J.R. (Holli) Ford and Laurie Marshall; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Schuhler. A funeral service will be held at the Lifehouse Church - Huntertown Campus, 16021 Lima Road, Huntertown, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorials may be directed to Parkview Hospice, Lifehouse Church, or Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter. Sheets & Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
