Nancy Parish

Nancy L. Parish, 86, of Churubusco, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Stillwater Hospice Home. She was born in Fort Wayne, on March 2, 1936, to the late Charles and M. Lois (Jackson) Bower. Most of her lifetime was spent in the Churubusco area. She graduated from Huntertown High School in 1954. Nancy was married to Jerry Parish, on September 16, 1960, in Churubusco. She had previously worked at Lincoln Life, Midwestern Life, and retired from Dana Corp., Churubusco in 1999, after 33 years of service. In her free time, she enjoyed working with her flowers, gardening, reading, and spending the winter in Florida. She always attended her boy's ballgames and was a dedicated wife. She was an active member in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and she belonged to the Whitley County Extensions Homemakers Club. What she loved the most was baking cookies, pies, and yeast rolls for her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerry Parish; her three sons, David (Debbie), Gary, and Jeff (Leeann) Parish; a sister; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers and grandson, Matthew David Parish. Funeral Service will be held at Pathway Community Church, on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends and family, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the Churubusco History Center.
