Nancy Washburn-Jones

Nancy Washburn-Jones, 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 21, 2021, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wabash. Born in Battle Creek, MI, on January 7, 1951, to the late Roger and Ruby (Schafer) Washburn. She spent her formative years in Battle Creek, graduating from Lakeview High School in 1969. In 1970, she moved to Fort Wayne to attend G.E. Tool and Die School. Nancy had a passion for driving and served in many capacities. She drove school bus, short trailer, long trailer and tandem, where she traveled all 48 states and Canada. She was a Master Gardener and enjoyed working in her gardens. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Trisha) Hanes; two granddaughters, Harper and Aubrey Hanes and loving nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger "Bill" Washburn. No services are planned at this time. Memorials to the American Lung Association.
