Nicholas Gump

Nicholas D. Gump, 38, of Churubusco, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 8, 1979 to John and Annette (Messmann) Gump. He spent his formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High School in 1999. He attended Ivy Tech college where he received an Associate's degree in Accounting. Nicholas also went to IPFW. He attended Pine Hills Church, Fort Wayne. He was an avid Detroit Loins fan, Cincinnati Reds and Indiana University Basketball. Nick loved spending time with his children. He and his kids enjoyed Friday nights when they would watch MacGyver and Hawaii 5-0 while enjoying snacks together. His son Tyler will remember his dad watching him play football and going back to the park to watch him play baseball. He will also remember playing football and baseball with his dad in the back yard. Raegan will remember him watching her dance, making slime together and telling silly jokes. She will also remember going to the Father-Daughter Dance with her dad. Nicholas is survived by his son, Tyler Gump; his daughter, Raegan Gump; his parents John and Annette Gump; a sister, Laura (Chris) Cook; two brothers, Adam (Jenna Schott) Gump and Bret Gump; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog, Piper. Calling will take place at Pine Hills Church, Fort Wayne on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services will begin at 7:00 PM.
