Noell League

Noell T. League, 52, a resident of Fort Wayne and wife of Dennis E. League, passed away unexpectedly at 11:35 p. m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Covington Manor Nursing Home in Fort Wayne.e She had been taken there earlier in the day after being hospitalized. Mrs. League was born in Beaufort, South Carolina on December 19, 1960, a daughter of Sidney E. and Naomi J. (Caskey) Bennett.e As a girl she lived in Hedgesville, West Virginia for a period with her parents, and graduated from Hedgesville High School in 1978. On May 17, 1997 she was married in Fort Wayne to Dennis E. League, and spent most of her adult life in Fort Wayne.e She was a homemaker, and was a member and the pianist at New Hope Community Church in Fort Wayne. The surviving relatives include her husband Dennis; her daughter Hannah Lynn Stuckey of Fort Wayne; her mother Naomi J. (Charles Tate) Bennett of Fort Wayne; and a sister Heather (Steven) Milom of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her father the Rev. Sidney E. Bennett on June 19, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Pastor Tim Franklin of New Hope Community Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
