Norman Brown, 80, of Auburn and formerly of Churubusco, passed away on May 27, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on July 10, 1943, in Springfield, OH, to the Late Kay and Martha (Anderson) Brown. He spent his formative years in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School.
Norman was married to Judith Staley on May 12, 1962, in Springfield, OH. The couple moved to Churubusco in 1972, moving to Fort Wayne in their later years. Judith preceded Norman in death on May 22, 2011. Norman was later married to Sandra Glover on October 31, 2013. She preceded him in death in 2016.
A hardworking and strong individual, Norman spent his career as a laborer in the automotive industry. He retired from International Harvester in 2005 after 43 years of service. Norman was a pillar of strength and resilience, always putting his family first.
Norman was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in watching movies, caring for his beloved dogs, and above all, looking after his family. He had been a member of the Merriam Christian Chapel Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Curtis) Ayers, Darlene (Jeff) Brady, and Laura Brown; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel.
Burial will take place at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
Memorials may be directed to the Whitley County Humane Shelter.
