Norman P. Felger, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at his home.
He was born in Fort Wayne, on May 30, 1931, to the late Charles J. and Helen (Byerley) Felger. He spent his formative years on the farm and graduated from Arcola High School in 1949.
He served in the United States Army from May 5, 1952, until his honorable discharge on April 15, 1954. After his time in the Army, he returned to the family farm.
Norman was married at St. John's Church, Flat Rock, on December 25, 1960, to Elaine A. Fuelling. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2009.
He was a life-long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township. He served as a Deacon for more than 30 years.
His hobby was farming. In addition to serving in his church, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed reading informative books to satisfy his thirst for knowledge.
He is survived by his daughter, Cheri (Paul, Jr.) Meyers; four grandchildren, Elijah, David, Ariana, and Sophia.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Robert and Richard Felger.
Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township, with calling taking place one hour prior to the service.
The family will also receive family and friends at the church on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Burial will take place in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township, or Riley Children's Hospital.
