Patricia A. "Pat" Clark, 80, a long-time resident of Churubusco, passed away at 5:50 a. m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the residence of her daughter in Noble County.e She had been in failing health for the past three months. Mrs. Clark was born in Fort Wayne on February 2, 1930, a daughter of James A. and Margaret E. (Morris) Clark.e As a child, she moved to Blue Lake with her parents,e graduated from Churubusco High School in 1948, and was a lifelong resident of this community. Employed in the pharmacy at Lutheran Hospital for several years, she later managed a group home in Churubusco for Passages, Inc., and for 14 years worked in the bakery at Egolf's IGA in Churubusco, retiring from there in 2008. A member of Faith Lutheran Church in Churubusco, she loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed holiday and birthday celebrations.e She also enjoyed following NASCAR, and was a loyal fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. The surviving relatives include her daughter Deborah L. Geiger of rural Avilla; a granddaughter Nicole (John) Bortner of Albion; three great-grandchildren Ariel Bortner, Samuel Bortner, and Katelynn Bortner; and her friend and caregiver Cheryl Hilliard of rural Avilla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Sondra L. Arnett on August 9, 1999. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, Octobe4 26, 2010, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Dr. Lane Burgland, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the mortuary on Monday from 2-4 and from 6-8 p. m. Interment will be in the Eel River Cemetery, south of Churubusco.
