Patricia Milne

March 19, 1935 — November 28, 2023

Patricia Ann Milne, born on March 19, 1935, in Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on November 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her beloved family. Patricia, a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was a beacon of support and inspiration to her family and those fortunate to know her. A dedicated assembly worker, Patricia retired from not just one, but two distinguished careers, first from Parker Pen in Janesville, Wisconsin, and later from National Plastics of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her unwavering commitment to her faith and the Catholic Church, specifically St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Churubusco, was a guiding light for her throughout her life. Patricia was a fiercely independent woman who balanced a full-time job while raising her five children. Despite her busy schedule, she always found time to care for her home and loved ones. A true matriarch, her home was a hub of love and warmth. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved working crossword puzzles or playing scrabble. Patricia also cherished her moments with family and friends, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a devoted Catholic, Patricia's life can be best encapsulated in the words from Matthew 25:23, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" She is survived by her five children, Kim Morgan, Pam (Tom) Niemeier, Tim (Lynette) Milne, Marcia (Brent) Milne-Kaukl, Cherie (Todd) Sims-Brazell; two sisters-in-law, Char DeRoche & Barb DeRoche; 16 grandchildren, Lacey (Ryan), Brianna (Chris), Jaime (Greg), Daniel (Nicole), April, Michael F. (Jennifer), Jessica (Tim), Michael T. (Mary), Nicholas (Celena), Jo (Jr), Dani (Corey), Blake, Josh, Luna, Elijah, and Perry; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; niece, Renee Mullen, and numerous additional nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Loyola (Plourde) DeRoche; brothers, Richard, Robert, James, Gerald, and Michael; a sister, Jackie; sons-in-laws Bob, Richard, and Mark. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Catholic Funeral Mass will be held in her honor on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 1:00 PM at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 220 North Main Street, Churubusco, Indiana, 46723. Graveside services will be held immediately following mass at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Patricia's memory can be directed to Hope Rising: http://www.hoperisingfarm.com; this ministry of Kim's daughter, Patricia's granddaughter.
