Patrick Goggin

Patrick William Goggin, 58, of Churubusco, passed away quietly in his sleep at his home on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Patrick and his twin sister Megan were born in Fort Wayne on September 10, 1966. He graduated from Bishop Luers High School and attended Manchester University. He worked at BRC Rubber and Plastics as a supervisor and scheduler. Patrick was an avid gardener with the proverbial green thumb and an Iowa University sports fan. His big love was his 1971 Ford F-250 with a special 350 HP engine he called Clifford. Patrick was a lifetime member of the Churubusco VFW and American Legion Post #157. He has always had a pet, and his little dog, Henry, is lost without him. Patrick is survived by his wife, Penny of Churubusco; his children from a previous marriage, Devin (Daisha) Goggin of Columbia City, Zoe Ellen Goggin of Columbia City, Ethan Goggin of Columbia City; granddaughter, Frances-Ellen Marin Goggin of Columbia City; his parents, Joyce and William Goggin of Garrett; his sisters, Katie Goggin and Megan (Marty) Gaughan both of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Max) Herendeen of Columbia City and Tammy Crooks of Churubusco; a brother-in-law, Rick (Cindi) Rollins of Churubusco, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at the Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Whitley County Humane Shelter. Sheets and Childs Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
