Patsy "Pat" Agler

Patsy S. Agler, 74, of Bear Lake, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Parkview hospital in Columbia City. Mrs. Agler was born on February 3, 1942 in Michigan, a daughter of Roscoe and Florence (Holmes) Smeltzer. She spent her formative years in Wolf Lake, and attended Wolf Lake High School. On April 3, 1959 she was married in Churubusco to Morris Agler, and the couple raised their family in the Bear Lake area. The surviving relatives include her husband of 57 years Morris Agler of Bear Lake; her children, Daniel (Susan) Agler of Columbia City, Debbie (Leonard Underwood) Noble of Wolf Lake, Robert (Susan) Agler of Goshen, Penny Agler of Albion, and Susan Craig of Bear Lake; a brother Lowell (Judy) Smeltzer of South Carolina; two sisters, Veda Deck of Albion and Barbara of Flint Michigan; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Chuck Smeltzer; two son-in-laws, Richard Hatton and Dale Craig. A private service will be held at a later date.
