Paul Lee Geiger, 90, of Churubusco, passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2026, at Ashton Creek in Fort Wayne.
Paul was born on September 12, 1935, to Emanuel "Snick" and Mabel (Cotton) Geiger. He spent his entire life in the Churubusco area, growing up just outside of town, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for family. From a young age, Paul helped farm the land, milking cows, tending the garden, and providing for his family as part of his daily life.
He graduated from Churubusco High School in 1953, where he played basketball all four years. During those years, he enjoyed spending time at Smiley's Ice Cream shop and had a beloved horse named Silver.
On November 23, 1957, Paul married the love of his life, Marlene Ann (Cobb), with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.
At the age of 20, Paul began working at Dana Incorporated in 1954. He worked as an inspector and served for over 50 years before retiring. Over the years, he also enjoyed working in construction.
Paul was a man of faith who loved God deeply and cherished his family above all else. He was known for his fun-loving spirit, always enjoying a good joke and bringing laughter to those around him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Marlene; his two children, Vickie (Don) Troyer and Mark (Lori) Geiger of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Josh, Lindsay, Austin, Ciara, Clare, Coleman, and Cali; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Darlene Delony of Columbia City, and his brothers, Junior (Jennifer) Geiger of Huntington and Delynn (Lori) Geiger of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gene and Melvin Geiger; and his sister, Bonnie Nicodemus.
A scripture that reflects Paul's life and faith is: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7
Paul's legacy of love, faith, hard work, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
