Pearlie Garrison, 90, a resident of rural Churubusco and widow of Marion A. "Gary" Garrison, passed away at 8:20 p.m. on February 8, 2012 at North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion following an extended illness. She had been a patient there for the past year Mrs. Garrison was born on October 10, 1921 to Ben and Nancy (Rowe) Clemons in Guage, Kentucky. She moved to this area in her teens, married Marion A. "Gary" Garrison, and had lived in this area all of her adult life. She was a homemaker, was a member of Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of a Pinochle Card Club. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, and most especially loved and cherished her family. Pearlie is survived by her son Ken K. (Judy) Garrison of Churubusco; a sister Rebecca "Becky" Creech of Churubusco; a grandson Michael (Sarah) Garrison of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter Melissa (Lee) Norris of San Antonio, FL; and seven great-grandchildren Luke Garrison, Wesley Garrison, Grace Garrison, Jessica Norris, Jaimie Norris, Jenette Norris, and Jillian Norris. Mr. Garrison preceded her in death on April 9 1998. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Arnold Clemons and Kelly Clemons; and by a sister Luanna Rindfusz. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 2 to 5 p. m., or one hour prior to the service at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Paul D. White, pastor of Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials are suggested to Parkview Home Health & Hospice or the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene.
