Phyllis A. Holloway, 73, a resident of Fort Wayne and formerly of Blue Lake near Churubusco, passed away at her home and was found on Friday afternoon, October 21, 2011.e She had been in declining health for some time, but her death was unexpected. Mrs. Holloway was born in Fort Wayne on November 4, 1937, a daughter of Robert and Hazel (Lopshire) Claymiller, and spent her formative years there. On July 10, 1964 she was married in Fort Wayne to John E. Holloway.e The couple lived there for a period, and had lived at Blue Lake near Churubusco, returning to Fort Wayne in 1986. She was a homemaker. Mr. Holloway preceded her in death on June 15, 1992. The surviving relatives include two sons Chris Holloway of Churubusco and Steve Holloway of Huntertown; four sisters Deloris (Harry) Neville of Fort Wayne, Dorothy (Frank) Gage of Roanoke, and Judy Bourne and Linda Johnson, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers Paul Claymiller of Corunna and Jim Claymiller ofe Fort Wayne; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Gary A. Pee; and by a brother Gene Claymiller. Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home in Churubusco with Rev. Corinne Boruff-Stucker, pastor of Churubusco United Methodist Church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p. m., or one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning. Interment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
