Ralph Easterhaus

Pastor Ralph W. Easterhaus, 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home. Born on December 24, 1947 in Moberly, MO, he was born to Harold and Daisy (Spellman) Easterhaus. He spent his formative years in Salisbury, Mo. and graduated from St. Paul's High School in Concordia, MO in 1965. He graduated from St. Paul's College in Concordia, MO in 1967. He then graduated from Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, before graduating from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO in 1973. Ralph was married on August 16, 1969 in Crystal City, MO to Beverly A. Oswald. The couple served in Lutheran churches in West Frankfort, IL Herrin, IL and Brookville, IN, before settling in Fort Wayne in 1992. He retired from St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake Township in 2014 after 40 years of service in the Lutheran Church. Ralph is survived by his wife, Beverly Easterhaus of Fort Wayne; four children, Ryan (Danyele) Easterhaus of Westfield, Jon (Meaghan) Easterhaus of Menlo Park, CA, Christin (Neal) Clark of Frankfort and Allison (Eric) Honeycutt of Campbellsville, KY; a brother, Eldrid (Carol) Easterhaus of Columbia, MO; and nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visiting hours will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church Lake Township on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Calling also one hour prior to the service. Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at St. John's Lutheran Church Lake Township on Thursday, November 2, 2017, Dean Pastor Pam Thorson and Pastor Rick Barns, officiants. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church Lake Township, Lutheran Military Veterans and Families Ministries or Lutheran Association of Institutional Ministries.
