Rebecca Creech, 95, of Churubusco, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at Miller's at Oak Pointe.
She was born on September 10, 1930, in Breathitt, KY, to the late Ben "Bennie" and Nancy (Rowe) Clemons.
Rebecca was a devoted wife, married to Russell Creech on May 11, 1946, with whom she built a beautiful life and family in Churubusco. Russell preceded her in death on November 20, 1998.
In her professional life, Rebecca was a diligent cook, starting her career as a room mom and then transitioning to the school cafeteria when it was added. She was instrumental in founding Churubusco's first kindergarten. Before her sons' births, Rebecca briefly served as a waitress at Fort Meyers and worked at Bluebell in Columbia City. Later, she assisted her husband, Russell, in running their family business, Russell Creech T.V. Sales & Service. A faithful member of the Churubusco Church of the Nazarene, Rebecca's devotion to her faith was evident to all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Errol and Wayne (Darlene) Creech; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Luanna Rindfusz, Pearlie Garrison, Arnold, and Kelly Clemons, as well as a grandson, Steven Creech.
A funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling hours beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
