Richard Brockhaus

Richard "Rick" Brockhaus, 59, of Churubusco, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by his family. Born on May 13, 1958, in Fort Wayne, to Edward and Dorothy (Lipp) Brockhaus. He spent his formative years in Allen County and graduated from Carroll High School in 1976. Rick was married to his one true love, Penny, for 30 years. He worked for Pepsi Co. for 30 years. Rick loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his crew! He is survived by his wife, Penny Brockhaus; a daughter, Danielle (Rich) Brockhaus-Zollman; a step-son, Michael (Jaime) Carroll; seven grandchildren, Corrie, Kali, Morgan, Marissa, Mira, Garner and Grant; two great-grandchildren, Claire and Eli; a brother, Larry (Susan) Brockhaus; two sisters, Sandy (Jim) Maggert and Patricia (Jerry) Cox. He is preceded in death by his parents. Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, March 31, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will begin at 3:00 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
