Robert "Bob" Phillip Baker Jr., known affectionately by his friends and family as Good Time Charlie, Buckeye Bob, and Hot Bob, passed away on February 15, 2025.
Born in Van Wert, OH, on September 1, 1980, to Robert and Connie (Riley) Baker, Sr., he spent his formative years in Van Wert and graduated from Van Wert High School.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Melissa Harrison, on December 17, 2010. The couple had been married since August 23, 2003.
Bob later settled at Blue Lake, living a full and vibrant life. He married Christina Mobley on the Blue Lake dock on May 31, 2013. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother who was best known for his love for friends and family and his undying support for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Bob was a lifesaving paramedic of near twenty years. He then became a dedicated Equipment Manager at The Robert Henry Corp, where his work ethic and team spirit were greatly admired. His hobbies, which were a testament to his adventurous spirit, included hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, and side by side. He was an active member of the Churubusco American Legion Post #157 and Blue Lake Association. Robert also loved watching college football and March Madness and was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and the 49ers.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Christina Baker; and his cherished children, Reagan and Maclain Baker; his father, Robert (Beth Fox) Baker, Sr.; his mother, Connie (Kelly) Kreischer; his step-mother, Paula Baker; his siblings, Rachell (Josh Kahle) Baker, Mike (Elease) Kreischer, Aaron (Kelly) Baker, and Christin (Art) Moreau; a nephew and several nieces.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel, with calling one hour prior.
The family will also receive family and friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
